Very excited to report that my story on the growth of integrative medicine was published in three different outlets in the span of a week, including Spot.us, New America Media and Nguoi Viet 2, the English edition of a Vietnamese newspaper, the first and largest daily newspaper published in Vietnamese in the United States.
The story examines how the “one size fits all” approach to medicine is quickly being replaced by a combination of traditional and modern medicine – where, for example, cancer patients like Yasmin Bhadha whom I interviewed is supplementing her chemotherapy treatments with Reiki, an ancient Japanese energy therapy which has its fair share of critics. She feels she’s getting better, and her tests show that she is and I guess in the end, that’s the goal, not necessarily how you get there.
